EDITH GERTRUDE BARTLETT (nee CAMERON) October 10, 1920 - August 31, 2009 Peacefully, on August 31, 2009 Edith passed at Boundary Trails Health Centre at the age of 88. She has been reunited with her husband Leonard Tommy ; parents Theo and Daisy Cameron; siblings Fern, Dean, Margaret and Harvey. Leaving behind with loving memories are her daughters Judy, Linda Pihulak; son Raymond George ; grandson Kerry Pihulak (Andrea Bacler); brother George (Margaret) Cameron. Ede will also be remembered by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Mom was born and raised in the Interlake area. She worked as a housekeeper in Lac du Bonnet and later Oak Bluff where she met Len. She joined the army during the Second World War, and Len was in the Air Force. They married at the end of the war, and lived initially in Winnipeg (the Beverly Block and Weston area); later moving to Rivercrest; then retiring to La Riviere; and finally mom moved to Manitou. Mom was a caring and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend. Over the years she enjoyed travelling with her family, bowling, curling and playing card games. She will be greatly missed. The family would like to thank Joy and family for being there when we could not. Also thank you to the doctors, staff and friends for the care and compassion shown to Mom over her last months. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, September 9, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Andrews United Church in La Riviere with a reception to follow. There will also be a memorial service held on Saturday, September 12, 2009 at 3:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. with interment and reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations in Edith's name may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 6 Donald Street, Winnipeg, MB, R3L 0K6 or the charity of one's choice. Chapel Lawn 885-9715
