LIONEL THEBERGE A beloved husband, father and grandfather, Lionel Théberge unexpectedly passed away at St. Boniface General Hospital on Thursday, September 3, 2009 at the age of 87 years. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Laurette (née Tougas), children, Raymond (Paulette), Suzanne, Rachel (Robert), Paul (Mary), Yves (Nicole) and grandchildren, Daniel, Stéfan, Eric, Dany, Julie, Martin and Joelle. Lionel was born in Edam, Saskatchewan in 1922 and moved to Ste-Anne, Manitoba in 1948 where he owned a General Store for 27 years. He was a well respected member of the community, active in the Caisse Populaire and the Villa Youville for many years. For the past six years, he had been residing in Winnipeg at Villa Beliveau. He was predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Marie-Louise Théberge and sisters, Florence and Liliane. A celebration of his life will be held at the Sts. Martyrs-Canadiens Church, 289 Dussault Avenue on Tuesday, September 8, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. Donations can be made in his memory to a charity of your choice.
