ROBERT SCOTT ALLISON It is with great sadness that we announce that Scott Allison passed away suddenly at his home on August 31st, 2009. He was born in Winnipeg on September 17th, 1958. Left to cherish his memory is his mother Kathleen (Kay) Allison, brother James Allison and wife Yasuko, and sister Catherine Stovel. Also left to mourn his passing are his nieces Lauren and Gwen Stovel and nephews Noel and Keith Allison. Scott is survived by four children from a previous marriage. He was predeceased by his father Morton L. Allison in 1991. Scott grew up in Fort Gary and spent many happy summers with his family at Victoria Beach. In the early years of his primary education he was considered a bit of a character and by the time he graduated from Vincent Massey Collegiate he was known as an instigator of jokes and other mischief. After finishing high school he spent time working in various parts of Western Canada to support his interest in skiing which he enjoyed immensely. He was always an avid sports enthusiast enjoying baseball and football particularly. He later attended the University of Manitoba where he graduated with a B.A. He worked in sales at Advance Electronics for a number of years followed by similar positions at Visions Electronics, the Bay and few automobile dealerships. In his earlier years friends say that Scott's joy of life was infectious. His ability to hold the attention of friends and acquaintances with humorous tales of previous experiences was legendary. You could easily find Scott at a gathering as he was probably holding court and you could never miss his voice or the volume of his laughter. The Chili Ranger could always put a smile on your face. Scott will be missed by a great many people. Let his spirit be set free. A private family gathering will be held at Thomson's In the Park followed by cremation. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Scott's name to the Winnipeg Humane Society, 45 Hurst way, Winnipeg, MB, R3T 0R3.
