Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDONNA ALISON JOHNS A devoted mother, caring sister, loyal friend and remarkable woman, Donna Alison Johns passed away unexpectedly but peacefully in her sleep, Friday September 4, 2009. She leaves many friends and much family to cherish her life and legacy. Her beloved children Catherine and Jonathan were the centre of her life and her home was always the gathering place for their friends. In her lifetime, Donna was a dedicated employee, creative entrepreneur and fiercely loyal friend. She was the consummate hockey and figure skating Mom. Donna was born in Winnipeg, MB and moved to Ontario in 1981. She worked for the former Mutual Life of Canada and most recently as an officer of RBC Insurance. She co-founded Conestogo Mercantile , a retail store in Conestogo, ON with her closest friend, Helen Mazurka. She touched many people with her passion and strength. Beloved daughter of Dick Johns of Winnipeg, sister of David (Lesia) and Richard of Winnipeg. Aunt to Daniel (Winnipeg) and Laura (Calgary). Predeceased by her mother Marian in 2006. Visitation at KITCHING, STEEPE LUDWIG FUNERAL HOME, 146 Mill Street, 146 Mill St. N., Waterdown on Thursday, September 10, 2009 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Thomas the Apostle Roman Catholic Church, 715 Centre Road, Waterdown, Friday, September 10, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. A memorial presentation and reception will follow immediately in the Church Hall. Interment will follow at 2:30 p.m. at St. Matthew's Lutheran Church Cemetery, Conestogo, ON.
