Also predeceased by sisters-in-law Judy and Edna and brothers-in-law, Garth and Ed. Gerry was born in Crystal City, Manitoba on June 14, 1935. He was raised on the family farm. Gerry and Lois met in 1954 and were married in 1958. They built their home on Marshall Bay and lived there for 47 happy years. The last two years they lived in a condo on the peaceful Seine River. Gerry worked for Canada Packers in Crystal City and Winnipeg until 1967. Gerry and Lois started an Amway business in 1966. This opportunity allowed them to build life long friendships and travel extensively with family and friends. His children were grateful to have their Dad work from a home office as they grew up. Gerry was very proud of his Amway business and retired in 2006. Dad was an avid sports fan. He curled for many years out of the Pembina Curling Club and was a member of the 8 ender club. Grandpa was very proud of his grandchildren and loved spending time with them. Our Husband, Father and Grandfather will be missed greatly and loved always. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 12, 2009 at Thomson In The Park Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Blvd. A private family burial will take place in Crystal City, Manitoba.
