JOHN THIESSEN May 20, 1940 - September 8, 2009 John Thiessen, age of 69 years of Winnipeg formerly of Altona, Manitoba, passed away peacefully on September 8, 2009 at the Riverview Health Centre in Winnipeg. John leaves to mourn, his wife, Trudy (nee Driedger); three daughters: Violet Hancock, Audrey Thiessen and Lorraine Thiessen; and six grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Friday, September 11, 11:00 a.m. at the Sommerfeld Mennonite Church in Altona, Manitoba. Interment will take place in the Altona Cemetery. Viewing will be held Thursday at Wiebe Funeral Home Altona 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. and at the church prior to the service.
