Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryFREDERICK (JIM) JAMES BRIER Peacefully on Tuesday, September 9, 2009 Jim passed away at Seven Oaks Hospital. Jim will deeply be missed by Ida his loving wife of 63 years, children Diana and Rick Allan, Cheryl and Brian Kuly, grandchildren Kelly-Ann and Chris Morrison, Tracy and Bob Sinclair, Krista Kuly and Michael Donohoe, Jim Allan and Sheila Gow, great-grandchildren Rachel and Kyle Morrison, and Nathan Sinclair. He will also be missed by his sisters, Ruby, Anne (Bernie), Betty, sisters-in-law Evelyn, Dona, brother-in-law Norman. Jim was predeceased by his parents Catherine and David, sister Dolly, sisters-in-law Annette, Irene, Dorothy, Kay, brothers-in-law Eugene, Basil, Walter, Roger, Robert, George, Herb and Pete. Jim was born on August 6, 1924 in Winnipeg. He married Ida on June 29, 1946. He lived all of his married life in Winnipeg where his two daughters were born. Jim served in the Navy where he met his bride-to-be. In 1945 he started working as a machinist at Auto Supply. After Auto Supply closed he spent the rest of his career working at Wes-T-Rans, retiring in 1989. The family wishes to thank the caring staff at the Maples Personal Care Home. Also a very special thank you to the staff at the Seven Oaks Hospital for their care and support during his hospital stay. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, September 11, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at Glen Eden Funeral Home, with Pastor Stan Richards officiating. Interment will follow immediately after the service.
