DONALD HURD It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Donald Hurd on Sunday morning September 6, 2009 at Concordia Hospital at the age of 59 years. Don is lovingly remembered by his wife and soulmate of 33 years Judy, his two children who will miss him so much, Kristan and Jessica, his soon to be daughter-in-law Randi, brother Greg and Jeannine, sister Susan and Stu, cousins Margaret and Dennis, Bobby and Fran and all of the Charette family who have been his family for these many years. He will also be missed by many very good friends who have shared laughter and tears and who enriched his life. He was predeceased by his parents Harold and Jennie Hurd. Don worked for the Royal Bank of Canada for 27 years. He owned Gateway Newsstand at Kildonan Place and most recently, was a staff member of Convergys. A few of his favourite things were a good book, a good meal, good conversation, good music, a good joke and the company of family and friends. His life was rich. We love you so very much Don and we will miss you every day. Thank you to the nursing staff of Concordia Hospital for all of their help and consideration. Memorial service will be presided by Elizabeth Brown at Glen Lawn Funeral Home on 455 Lagimodiere Blvd., Saturday, September 12, 2009 at 11:30 p.m. followed by a reception. If friends so desire in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Winnipeg Public Library. GLEN LAWN FUNERAL HOME 982-7550
