Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryBETTY WOLOSHYN (HOPKO) It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, aunt, great-aunt and friend, Betty Woloshyn on Tuesday, September 8, 2009 at the Teulon Hunter Memorial Hospital. She leaves to mourn her loss, children Joan, Marion, and Michael; nieces and nephews and their families; brother-in-law Gordon Drewett and all her friends. Born in Pleasant Home, Manitoba on January 18, 1922. Mom was predeceased by her loving husband William in 1985 and infant son, Donald in 1944, parents Nykola and Sophia (Medwid) Hopko; all her brothers and sisters, Jessie Berard, Peter Hopko, Mike Hopko, Bill Hopko, Rose Drohomereski, Mary Drohomereski, Annie Kulmatycki, Nettie Personage, Elma Ziyone, Lena Pashnyk and Jim Hopko. On June 14, 1942 Mom married our Dad William Woloshyn and lived on the farm until her passing. They had many happy times with family and friends. Lots of hard work, especially when Dad went out to work during the winter. We would like to thank Dr. Loudon, the staff of the Teulon Hunter Memorial Hospital and the home care workers for their kindness and compassionate care of Mom. Prayers will be held on Friday, September 11, 2009 at 7:00 p.m. at the MacKenzie Funeral Chapel, Teulon. Funeral service will be at St. Stephen's Ukrainian Orthodox Church of Pleasant Home on Saturday, September 12, 2009 at 9:00 a.m. Rev. Fr. Richard Ehrmantraut will officiate. Interment to follow in the Parish Cemetery. Pallbearers will be her nephews George Pashnyk, Joe Drohomereski, Norman Drohomereski, Bill Pashnyk, Richard Persoage, and Bill Kulmatycki. Everyone in attendance consider yourself honorary pallbearers. In lieu of flowers, donations in Betty's memory may be made to the St. Stephen's Church of Pleasant Home, c/o Jim Persoage, Box 136, Teulon, MB or to the Teulon Hunter Memorial Hospital. MacKenzie Funeral Home, Teulon in care of arrangements.
