GENIC RAYMOND JOSSE 1946 2009 With family at his side, Genic passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 9, 2009 at Grace Hospital. He was predeceased by his parents, Francisek and Justina Josse; sister, Margaret; and son, Andrew. Genic was born on November 19, 1946 and raised in The Pas and later moved to Winnipeg to attend university at the University of Manitoba. During this time and throughout his life, he was blessed with many true, lifelong friendships. He cherished his friends and his family, and will be remembered for his thoughtful and caring nature. Genic's good humour, zest for poking fun, and quick wit were often the source of a laugh. He had a natural aptitude for trivia, and one could count on learning something new in most conversations with him. As a family we are so proud of Genic's strength of character, his courage, and his unwavering optimism. He drew upon these strengths throughout his life and during his battle with cancer. His inspirational messages of hope, optimism and faith will be lovingly remembered by all. We are honoured to have had him in our lives. We will miss him dearly. Viewing will be held on Sunday, September 13 from 7:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue. The family extends heartfelt thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff at Grace CancerCare, CancerCare MB, and Grace Hospital.
