MARGARET CATHERINE MCGREGOR On Thursday, September 10, 2009, Margaret passed away peacefully at the Pembina Manitou Health Centre in Manitou, Manitoba in her 95th year. She is survived by her sons, Bill McGregor (Cathy) of Beaumont, Alberta, and John Thomas McGregor of Ninette, Manitoba; her granddaughters, Kristen McGregor of Toronto, and Lindsey McGregor of Calgary. Margaret was predeceased by her husband, Bob McGregor, in 1991, and parents: John and Anna Skarban, and her siblings: Mary, Carrie, Helen, Joe, Rose, Francis, Peter, and John. Margaret Skarban was born in Limerick, Saskatchewan. She married Bob McGregor in 1947 and they farmed in the Manitou area until retiring in 1976 when they moved their house to Manitou. Margaret was an avid gardener, talented quilter, crafter, and cook, as well as being a rather competitive card player. She enjoyed her family, home, community and her many friends. A funeral service celebrating her life will be held on Monday, September 14, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at the St. Andrews United Church in Manitou, Manitoba. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the Pembina Manitou Health Centre for the wonderful care they provided Margaret in the last years of her life.
