Howard was born in Grenfell, SK on June 22, 1926 to parents Albert and Lillian Derby. He leaves to mourn his loving wife of 57 years Clare and his four children and grandchildren in Grenfell as well as his family and friends in Winnipeg. Howard will be remembered for his gentle kindness and good nature to all who knew him. Dad you will be greatly missed and loved forever. Sandra, Pam (Reg), Maurice (Mel), Roxane (John), Jody (Mark). Funeral service will be held in the Grenfell Community hall on Saturday, September 12, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. There will be a family interment service in Weldon Holy Trinity Church Cemetery.
