EDNA JULIE MORTLOCK (nee MARTEL) Peacefully in her sleep, it is in deep regret that we announce the death of Mrs. Edna Mortlock on the Wednesday, September 9, 2009 at the age of 87 years at Extendicare Tuxedo Villa, Winnipeg, Manitoba. Remained to forever cherish Edna's memory is her daughter Shirley Hales (Joe); granddaughter Wendy Trinkies, (James); great- grandchildren, Amber and Brett Trinkies and granddaughter Sheryl Hales (Dave). Edna was predeceased by her mother Emily Martel; her father Joseph Martel; brothers, Adrian, Andy, Noel, Marcel, Albert, George and Gus and sisters, Mary and Olive. Edna enjoyed being with her family, playing cards, bingo and watching game shows on television. In her younger years she loved to go to dances and dance the soles off her shoes. She worked for Motor Coach Industries until retirement and she was a cancer survivor. Edna's Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, September 17, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Memories in Wojcik's Funeral Chapel, 1020 Main Street at Manitoba Avenue.
