JOSEPH CARL (JOE) PIEROZINSKI It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Joe Pierozinski on August 27, 2009 in Medicine Hat, Alberta. Joe was born in Poplar Park, Manitoba on April 18, 1928. He is survived by his daughter Jo Anne Kroft (Evan and Jessica); his brothers, Peter Pierozinski (Amy) and Fred Artimowich; his sisters, Sophie Madsen, Josie Clark; along with nephews, Doug Pierozinski, Russ Pierozinski (Debbie), Darryl Pierozinski, Joe Artimowich, Albert Artimowich (Connie), Gordon Artimowich (Sandy), Gerald Artimowich (Val), Larry Artimowich (Donna) and Ron Artimowich; his nieces, Carol Artimowich, Cheryl Carter, Debbie Becker (Ben), Lisa Lindemann (Jim), Bernice Rattai (Melvin), Brenda Omichinski (Ward) and Stella Pruse. Joe was predeceased by his wife Vera (2003), his father John Pierozinski (1969), his mother Polly Pierozinski (1964), his brother Mike Artimowich (2003), his sister-in-law Pauline Artimowich (1999) and his nieces, Diane Tanner (1986) and Carol Dianne Artimowich (2005). Joe moved from Winnipeg to Ft. St. John, BC in 1957 which was his home for 52 years until July of 2009. He enjoyed a lengthy career as an automotive mechanic. Joe was an avid outdoorsman and loved every moment he spent amongst the animals and forests of Northern British Columbia. A funeral service and celebration of his life was held on Friday, September 4, 2009, and interment took place alongside his wife Vera at the Northern Lights Cemetery in Edmonton, Alberta. In memory of Joe, donations can be made to the Canadian Wildlife Federation.
