Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryCOLIN GEORGE DAVIES August 25, 1927 - September 9, 2009 It is with deep sorrow and regret, we mourn the passing of our husband, father and grandfather, Colin George Davies on September 9, 2009 at the Grace Hospital with family at his side. Colin is survived by his loving wife, Annie, daughters Susan (Joe) Prohaska of Winnipeg, granddaughter Bianca Winiarz, Diane (Jeff) Brusse of Abbotsford BC, grandchildren Brendan, Connor, Liam and Mikayla. One brother Raymond and sister-in-law Tillie, two nieces and their families of Reading and Woking England. Colin was predeceased by his parents Queenie and William Davies. Colin was born on August 25, 1927 in Swansea Wales and served three years in the British Army before coming to Canada in 1950. Colin worked 38 years for the C.N. Railway, retiring in 1988 due to ill health. Colin enjoyed holidays at Grand Beach and spending time in Vancouver BC. He had a true passion for music as evidence of owning over seven different musical instruments. Funeral Service will be held at Mosaic Funeral Chapel, 1839 Inkster Blvd. on Wednesday, September 16, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Don McIntyre presiding. Cremation has taken place as per Colin's wishes. Many thanks to the Doctors and Nurses at the Oakview Place Care Home and Grace Hospital. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Colin's memory may be made to Manitoba Schizophrenia Society Inc.
