ELAINE KATHRYNE SPRAY (LOEWEN) It is with great sadness that we announce the tragic passing of a wonderful and loving mother, sister, grandmother, auntie, cousin and friend on September 8, 2009 at the age of 56. Elaine leaves to mourn her daughter Jakki, sons ,Trevor (Josee), Theodore Bear and Kurtis, her precious grandchildren, Jo-lene, Danielle, Layne, Chloe, Niko, Tyson and her mother Evelyn Loewen. She also leaves numerous special nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Elaine is also survived by her brother Dan (Suzie), sister Irene Bennett, brothers Tom (Marg), Ted and Bob (Karen). She was predeceased by her father Isaac and her sister Wendy Sweetland. Until her passing Elaine was working as a cook in Deer Lake for Parkwest Projects, she took pride in volunteering in community activities especially involving children, she was an active member of the Manitoba Metis Federation (Lundar Local) and Metis Women of Manitoba. Elaine's door was always open with a coffee pot on and an ear to listen. She was like a second mother and best friend to many. Elaine touched so many lives in so many ways with her caring, loving soul and her huge heart. A selfless woman who asked for little but gave so much. She always put everyone's needs before her own. Elaine you gave your life to save your grandchildren, we miss you, we will always love you, you are our hero. We know you have Lola, Chanel and Sheeter by your side . A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 15, 2009 at the Lundar Legion Hall with Zachary Dixon officiating. Interment to follow in the Clarkleigh Cemetery.
