SUMIYE (SUMI) OMOTANI 1910-2009 It is with sadness we announce the passing of Sumiye on Wednesday, September 9, 2009 at Concordia Hospital. Sumiye is survived by daughters, Irene (Suehiro) Tatsumi and Kuniko and son, Yutaka (Laura), grandchildren; Cathryn (Mark) Hanssen, Kenji (Corinne) and great-granddaughter Chloe Tatsumi, as well as nieces, cousins and friends. Sumiye was predeceased by husband, Fusaichi, brother Masao Adachi, and sister Tsuye Numada, as well as an infant son. Sumiye was kind, generous, thoughtful and will be greatly missed. The family would like to thank the staff at N1 Concordia Hospital for their support and care during this difficult time. Flowers and Koden gratefully declined, if friends so desire, donations may be made to The Manitoba Buddhist Church, Manitoba Japanese Canadian Cultural Centre or a charity of your choice.
