Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryWILLIAM (BILL) KRAHN Passed away at Riverview Health Centre September 13, 2009. Bill leaves to mourn his beloved companion of 31 years, Iris Ritchot and her daughters, Lynn, Mary Ellen and Barbara (Rick) and son Frank (Pam); grandchildren, Kendall, Corin, Jenny, Jason, Jessica, Jeremy and Matthew. He is survived by sisters, Margaret of Morden and Sue of Winnipeg, sister-in-law Anne of Winkler; brothers, Henry of Owatonna, Minnesota and John of Winnipeg. He was predeceased by his brother Peter and sister Kay of Winkler. Bill was born near Gretna, Manitoba on October 23, 1924 to Peter and Margaret Krahn and grew up in the Morden area. He moved to Winnipeg as a young lad and had many jobs until he settled down at Jessiman Bros. for 23 years. He pursued his career at Palliser Furniture as watchman until retiring in 1989. Bill enjoyed dancing, golfing, bowling, fishing and going to the casinos. Following his wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held Wednesday, September 16 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Voyage Funeral Home, 220 Hespeler at Henderson Hwy. Interment will follow at a later date Waldeheim Cemetery near Winkler. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Bill's name to The Canadian Cancer Society.
