Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDULCIE MAY ONSKE It is with great sadness that the family announces the peaceful passing of Dulcie May Onske of Selkirk, Manitoba, at the age of 88 years, on Friday, September 11, 2009. Remaining to cherish her memory are her children, Garry (Gertrude), Wendy (Donnie), Fred, Daphnie (Andre), Dawne (Willy), Laurel (Lorry), Shawn (Barb); sisters-in-law, Helen Welham and Anne Wozny; brother-in-law Joe Onske (Anne); grandchildren, Louise, Elaine, Desmond, Quentin, Kayla, Tiffany, Amanda, Christopher and Stephanie; great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and all members of her extended family. Dulcie was predeceased by her husband Alex; parents Reg and Edith Welham; sisters Winnie Grieve, Betty Lloyd and brother Ernest Welham. Dulcie was born in Selkirk on March 11, 1921. Here she raised her family and was a very active member at Christ Church. She joined many groups within the church. Her greatest love was singing in the choir every Sunday with her dad and brother. Mom had many interests knitting, quilting, baking, and sports to name a few. She could often be found knitting and cheering on the Bombers or watching that last rock thrown in the 10th end. Mom really enjoyed the Sunday suppers with her family and friends. She took great pleasure in hearing all the news from her grandchildren and their many accomplishments. She was very proud of all of them. The family would like to thank the many nurses and girls from home care for all the TLC through out the years; Selkirk General and Teulon Hospitals; Dr. Zoppa for the special care he gave Mom. A celebration of Mom's life will be held in the St. Andrews on the Red Anglican Church (St. Andrews, MB) at 11:00 a.m., on September 17, 2009 with Rev. Stephen Sharman officiating. Flowers are gratefully declined but donations in Mom's memory may be made to Siloam Mission or the charity of your choice. SOAR FREE Oh if you could see me now, Riding the clouds so high. Drifting freely in the wind, Oh, if you could see me fly. Don't grieve for me I am not there. Spreading my wings In the mountain air. Think of me softly Soaring free. Watching the sunrise In the windblown tree. Dry your tears gently For I am not there. I'm everything to you Under God's loving care. Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk in care of arrangements.
