EDWARD TOKARZ Peacefully, on September 12, 2009, Edward Tokarz passed away at the Grace Hospital at the age of 92. He is survived by his beloved wife Margie Tokarz; children, Daniel Tokarz, Patricia (Walter) Palanycia, Betty (Walter) Mikoluff and Jim (Julie) Tokarz; grandchildren, David, Joanne, Richard, Debbie, Phillip, Allan, Heather and Charlene; and many great- grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents Jan and Katarzyna; brothers, Joe and Steve; sisters, Helen, Rosie, Annie, Victoria and Mary; and great-grandchild Evan. Edward was born in Arborg, Manitoba on June 30, 1917. He worked for the City of Winnipeg Waterworks Department with great dedication for numerous years. Edward was a kind, mild-mannered man. He enjoyed fishing, gardening and tinkering with his prized 1972 Mercury Marquis. He was very handy, having built his own house and he was still able to shingle his garage at the age of 80. He took pride in a park in Winnipeg named after his family, Tokarz Park. Thank you to the staff at St. Joseph's Residence and the Grace Hospital for their care. A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, September 16, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street, with reception to follow. Interment to follow at Glen Eden Cemetery.
