Roberts (nee Dunn) passed away peacefully on September 10, 2009 at Cascade Hospice in Chilliwack, BC at 94 years of age. She was born in Saskatchewan on February 23, 1915. She married Paul Roberts on October 28, 1942. As a farmer's wife, she worked very hard to provide for her family. She was always very involved in the community as a Legion, Women's Institute, 4H Club, and United Church member. We will all remember her great sense of humor, poem writing and big heart. Give me a sense of humor Lord Give me the Grace to see a joke To get some humor out of life And pass it on to other folk She was predeceased by her husband, Paul Roberts, in October 1985. She will lovingly be remembered by her sister, Hilda Maxwell of Red Deer, Alta., her three sons and wives, Dennie and Louise Roberts of Beaumont, Alta., David and Carole (predeceased) Roberts of Costa Rica, Lorne and Debbie Roberts of Chilliwack, BC, her grandchildren, Laura Roberts and Gerry Vasseur, Julie and Jim Ivy, Gary and Stephanie Roberts, Glen Roberts, Todd and Kerry Roberts, Michelle and Linley Ali, Pamela and David Barton, Sean and Angela Roberts and Lindsay and Curtis Bolton and her 15 great- grandchildren. And the beat goes on A funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 17, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. at Thomson In the Park Funeral Home at 1291 McGillivray Blvd., Winnipeg, Man. Memorial donations may be made in her name to the Cancer Society. The family's appreciation goes to all of those friends and relatives in Manitoba who were always there for her and to Dr. Manness, Dr. Dodds and the Cascade Hospice in Chilliwack, BC who made her last days so loveable and comfortable.
