HAROLD (SCUT) TAYLOR

Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryHAROLD (SCUT) TAYLOR It is with great sadness and love that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather who left us peacefully with Mom by his side on Monday, September 14, 2009 after a brief and courageous battle with cancer. On February 26, 1929 Dad was born on the family farm in Netley, Manitoba where he was raised. In 1954 he married Mom and moved to Petersfield where they raised their three children. Harold remained in Petersfield throughout his life and was an active member in both the Community and Curling Club. Harold was predeceased by his brother Tim; sister Doris Veitch; brothers-in-law Peter Wawryk, Dave Veitch, John Schmid Jr. and sister-in-law Eileen Schmid. Left to cherish Dad's memory are his loving wife Elizabeth; children Dale (Marcia), Perry (Megan), Donna Lynn (Barry Nutbean); grandchildren Brent (Amanda), Tanya, Chad, Tamlyn, Jade, Jediah, Rebecca, and great-grandchild Brittany. Also survived by sister Thelma Wawryk; brothers Roy (Frances), Bill (Rita), and sister-in-law Irene Taylor; brothers-in-law Willie Schmid, Ben (Irene) Schmid, Gerry (Irene) Schmid, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. The family would like to thank the staff of the Selkirk District General Hospital for their support and compassion, especially Carol. As per Dad's request cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held on Friday, September 18 at 11:00 a.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Home, 309 Eveline Street in Selkirk, Manitoba. In lieu of flowers, a donation in Harold's memory may be made to The Petersfield Curling Club, The Petersfield Community Club, or the St. George's Anglican Church Cemetery Fund.
