BEN REIMER June 21, 1947 - September 11, 2009 Ben, our beloved husband and father, passed away peacefully in his home after a life long struggle with heart disease. Ben will be sadly missed by his wife Dianna, daughter Gloria (John) Kerluke, son Kevin, daughter Aleisha (Ryan) Eyford, and grandsons Jonathan and Jordan Kerluke. He is also survived by his siblings Elvin (Anne) Reimer, Joe (Olga) Reimer, Helen, Abe (Caroline) Reimer, as well as numerous in-laws, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Ben D. (1961) and Elizabeth (1991) Reimer and his parents-in-law Jacob (1994) and Katherine (1999) Friesen. Ben was born in Steinbach, MB and at a young age his family moved to Chihuahua, Mexico for a few years before returning to farm in Manitoba. He grew up in the Kleefeld area and started working at the early age of 13 after his father passed away. After getting married to Dianna (nee Friesen) and while raising a family of his own, he worked at various construction, carpentry, and long haul trucking jobs. Ben loved spending time with his family, be it a tropical vacation, a game of golf, fishing trips, white water rafting or just hanging out. Ben's adventurous spirit and humorous nature will be sorely missed by all who knew him. Funeral service will be held on Friday, September 18th, 2009 at Blumenort EM Church at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Barry Plett. Viewing one hour prior to service. In lieu of flowers, if friends and family so desire, donations in Ben's memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
