Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJOHN (JACK) R. RUTLEDGE Peacefully on September 14, 2009, John finally got his wish to be with his Lord. He passed away at the Seven Oaks Hospital at the age of 101. Left to mourn are many nieces and nephews, as well as many friends. He was the last of his family to pass on. Funeral service will be held Friday, September 18, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. at Klassen Funeral Home. Burial to follow at St. Vital Cemetery. The family would like to thank the Doctors and Nurses of the Seven Oaks Hospital for their care, as well as Home Care, Meals on Wheels, and friend Susan Shelvey. Uncle Jack was my great uncle. I reconnected with him when he was 100. Still living in his own apartment and said he had his name on the list to go to a nursing home. We sat and talked about his life, when he came to Canada. He was very young, around 14, and alone.
