STEPHANIE (STEPHANIA) NELSON (nee FUG) On Tuesday, September 15, 2009, our dear Mother and Grandma Stephanie Nelson passed away peacefully at the age of 91 years. Mom was born in Winnipeg on April 21, 1918 to Harry and Joanne Fug. She married John Theodor Nelson on September 21, 1940 and they were blessed with two sons, Ronald Harry Alexander and Kenneth John. Stephanie was predeceased by her father Harry (November 1977), mother Joanne (September 1960), husband John (January 1974) and brother John (October 1978). She leaves to mourn her loss, sons Ronald (Lorna) and Ken; grandsons John (Christy) and Andrew. Mom worked for many years at Eaton's and The Bay downtown. She was a wonderful cook and loved to garden. She was especially proud of her two grandsons. The family would like to thank the staff of Lions Manor and St. Joseph Residence for their compassionate care of our mother and grandmother during her stay. It was truly appreciated. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated on Saturday, September 19 at 10:00 a.m. at Blessed Virgin Mary Ukrainian Catholic Church, 965 Boyd Ave. Interment at Elmwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Stephanie's memory may be made to St. Joseph Residence or a charity of your choice. Bless You Mom / Grandma We will miss your kisses on our foreheads.
