Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARJORIE WINNIFRED HADATH (nee BROWN) March 13, 1917 - September 15, 2009 On Tuesday, September 15, 2009; Marjorie passed away at the Tuxedo Villa Personal Care Home at the age of 92 years. Remaining to forever cherish Marjorie's memory are her sons Fred (Lynda) and Glen (Patricia); grandchildren Mark from Vancouver, Kelly (Paul) Carvelli, Jeff (Bonnie) and Janice (Jay); six great-grandchildren; brother John Brown (Louise) of Winnipeg; sisters Evelyn (Cliff) Enquist, Monica Landry of Toronto, Edna Harris of Kelowna and Agnes Besth of Vancouver, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Joseph Frederick Hadath and her parents Archibald and Winnifred Brown and brother William Brown. Marjorie and her sister Monica, along with their parents left Salisbury England in 1920 and settled on Ferry Road in St. James, Winnipeg. She attended St. Anne's and St. Mary's Church Schools, after which she worked at Eaton's in the Millinery Department as a sales clerk for many years. She married Joseph Hadath in 1941 and they resided in St. James for the rest of their lives. Marjorie enjoyed many years at Matlock on Lake Winnipeg at the cottage her husband built. She enjoyed many visits over the years with her sisters in Vancouver, Kelowna and Toronto. Marjorie was an avid reader all her life and she also enjoyed knitting. Her trips to Las Vegas, England and Hawaii also gave her much pleasure. In compliance with Marjorie's wishes, a private funeral service will be held at a later date. The family would like to thank the staff at Station 2 in Tuxedo Villa for the very good care they gave to our mother.
