Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryGEORGES EDGAR FOURNEAUX It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Georges Fourneaux, aged 65, on September 15, 2009 at HSC. Georges was born in St. Boniface, MB on September 30, 1943. He was an adoring husband, loving father and grandfather, loyal and true friend. He is survived by his beloved wife of 41 years Shirley, his children Lisa (Miles) and Marc (Kristine), grandchildren Karissa and Sarah, brother Robert (Val) and their children Andrea and Robbie. Georges was a proud son to Edgar and Valentine Fourneaux who predeceased him in 1986 and 1997 respectfully. He also leaves behind a myriad of close family and dear friends, especially Bob Hooper who for the last 15 years was his best friend and confidant. In high school Georges started working for Dominion grocery stores. He, through hard work and dedication, climbed his way up from cart boy to grocery store manager. After his time with Dominion he embraced the challenge to work up North for Arctic CO-OP of Canada. Due to illness, his last work was in Holman Island, N.W.T. where he gained a deep appreciation for both its people and their culture. Georges loved Les Canadiens, Céline Dion and his football. He was proud of his family and gave everything of himself to them. Sincere thanks to the incredible staff in the CCU at the HSC for the care of Georges. Funeral service will take place Monday, September 21, 2009, at 1:00 p.m. at Desjardins Funeral Chapel, 357 Des Meurons Street.
