VALERIE BALDRUN LARSON After a courageous battle with cancer, Valerie Baldrun Larson passed away peacefully on September 16, 2009 at Victoria Hospital with her family at her side. She was predeceased by her daughter Luanna. Valerie will be forever loved and remembered by her husband Lorman, son Craig (Della), daughter Sandra (David Hakes) and grandchildren Neal, Curtis, Brennan, Graeme and Cora. Valerie's caring, loving nature and compassion will be greatly missed. After graduating with a Bachelor of Education degree, Valerie had a rewarding career teaching at Hastings Elementary and George McDowell schools. She enjoyed spending time with her husband, children, and grandchildren at the family cottage, especially during the summer and fall. Valerie had a long and fulfilling retirement and enjoyed many memorable times with her family. She was admired for her leadership, strength and perseverance through the challenges of her life and ultimately her illness. We would like to thank Dr. Maxwell and Anne at CancerCare Manitoba for the care they provided Valerie over the past three years. The family would also like to thank the Victoria Hospital staff who provided support during Valerie's last days.
