HOWARD GLENN JASPER With deep sorrow we announce Glenn's passing on September 17, 2009. Glenn was predeceased by his parents, Joe and Alice; his brothers, Clayton and Don; his sister Pearl; and his mother-in-law Florence Hughes. Glenn is survived by his wife Laurel; his daughter Jenna (Jay); his grandsons, Parker and Jacob; his brothers, Lorne (Maureen), Norman, Ron (Pat), Alvin (Ann), Garry (Joanne) and Terry; his sister Elaine; brother-in-law Bill Hughes (Lynda), Dylan and Kylie; father-in-law Bill Hughes, as well as many nieces and nephews. Glenn lived the majority of his life in Morse Place, with a six year stay in Birds Hill. On the death of his parents he returned to Morse Place, and has lived there since. Glenn started in the steel industry at the age of 19, working in the shop at Sullivan Strong Scott. His career took him to Dominion Bridge, Drummond McCall, MRM and Samuel Son Co. Ltd. where he was the Product Manager for Bar Structural Steel. Glenn was extremely knowledgeable and proud of the industry and the job he did within it. Glenn loved sports of all kinds, but his primary interest was Slo Pitch Baseball. He played, coached, and managed the Munroe Huskies for many years. The team won many A side trophies. Over the years Glenn made many lasting friendships through baseball, and was so proud of all the guys he played with throughout the years. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 23, 2009 at Klassen Funeral Home. Donations may be made in Glenn's memory to the St. Boniface General Hospital Research Foundation, 409 Tache Ave., Winnipeg, R2J 9Z9.
