Condolences & Memories (1 entries)

  • I first met Bill when he was Underwriters Adjustment Bureau Manager in Winnipeg when I was Safety Representative and then Loss Control Manger with Canada Safeway. We would meet from time to time to discuss cases and yearly updates on experience ratings. I was very surprsied to find out in the obit the professional hockey player (goalie) he was, backup up Winnipeg's own Terry Sawchuk. In all our meetings, he never mentioned his former career in hockey. I feel that I missed out a lot in not knowing about it and I would have found it very interesting to talk to him about it. I had played hockey myself but not at the professional level. We would have had some interesting discussions aside from our business dealings. I found Bill to be a very low key person, attention to detail as well as very professional in his career. My condelenses to the family and I still have flashbacks to our meetings, miss you Bill. - Posted by: colin dederick (business associate) on: Jul 23, 2016
