WILLIAMENE ELIZABETH (BETTY) MILANI (nee RAY) 1930 - 2009 With her family by her side, Betty peacefully passed away at Health Sciences Centre on Saturday, September 19, 2009 at the age of 79. Remaining to forever cherish Betty's memory are her devoted husband of 58 years, Albert (Bert) Milani; her sister and best friend Fern Brummell of Trenton, Ontario; five children, David (Anne), Karen (Jamie), Craig (Tammy), Rob (Kimberly) and Kim; six grandchildren, Sam (Tara), Matthew (Lana), Jenny-Lynn (Norm), Ryan, Katherine and Davis; two great-grandchildren Kasey and Maddon. She was predeceased by her mother Florence Ray (nee Casselman) in 1956 and her father William Ray in 1981. Betty was a member of Headingley United Church and the Charleswood Legion. She was a generous contributor to many local charities and was honoured for being a Canvasser for the Manitoba Cancer Society for 25 years. Betty's memorial service will be held on Thursday, September 24, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. in the Headingley United Church, 110 Bridge Road, Headingley, Manitoba. A gathering of Betty's family and friends will follow at a location to be announced. The family wishes to express its appreciation and thanks to the staff of the Health Sciences Centre Neurosurgery Unit for their care and compassion during Betty's stay. Flowers gratefully declined. Donations can be made to a charity of your choice.
