CLIFFORD PALMER
Date of Passing: Sep 19, 2009
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryCLIFFORD PALMER With dignity and God's grace Clifford Graham Palmer left this world wrapped in the embracing arms of His Lord Jesus on Saturday, September 19, 2009 at the age of 69 years. Left to cherish Cliff's memory are his loving wife, Valerie Coulter; his daughter Carmen Oliver (husband Doug, children Cassidy, Halle and Wyatt); son Ryan Palmer (wife Margaret and daughter Kennedy) and stepdaughter Stacey Gunter (son Evan). Cliff adored his children Carmen and Ryan and lovingly embraced his stepdaughter Stacey. Cliff believed his grandchildren were precious gifts from God which he treasured beyond all else. Cliff was born and raised in Dominion City, MB. He spent 20 years with Great West Life before co-founding Re/Max Real Estate in Winnipeg. After 25 years with Re/Max, Cliff once again showed his entrepreneurial side by opening Realty Executives First Choice. He served as President of the Winnipeg Real Estate Board, volunteered for many years with Boeing Track and Field Organization as well as the Optimist Track and Field and was instrumental in the founding of the Charleswood Rotary Club. Cliff also founded the Housing Opportunity Partnership (HOP) in Winnipeg. After hearing about the successful implementation of this program in the U.S., he was determined to offer the same benefits to those in Winnipeg who may not have fulfilled their dream of homeownership without such a program. HOP was Cliff's most dearly loved accomplishment as it allowed him to help others. A celebration of Cliff's life will be held on Thursday, September 24, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. in the Grant Memorial Baptist Church, 877 Wilkes Avenue, with Rev. Dr. Brian Brglez, presider. Honorary pallbearers are Ed Enns, Brian Scott, John Inglis, Peter Squires, Bob Tyler and Ed Winters. The family wishes to express their gratitude to the nurses, doctors and home care aides of the Palliative Care program for their compassion and professionalism during Cliff's illness. A special thank you to Linda Warren, you are God's angel. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Cliff's memory to The Bridge Church Benevolent Fund, 325 - 3336 Portage Avenue, Winnipeg, MB, R3K 2H9 or to ICMS/Pathway Camp Ministries, P.O. Box 24 Station A, Abbotsford, BC, V2T 6Z4.

We knew Cliff in a professional capacity. He helped many of our Winnipeg clients with their real estate needs. He helped our daughter and son-in-law with three separate moves. In all; a dozen transactions or so. When we sought feedback from these many families words used included: professional, knowledgeable, helpful, engaged. We knew Cliff as a good man and are better for having known him. - Posted by: Victor and Shirley Martens (Friend) on: Sep 23, 2009
