FRANK ARTHUR ALSIP
Date of Passing: Sep 21, 2009
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryFRANK ARTHUR ALSIP Frank Arthur Alsip passed away peacefully at the Riverview Health Centre on September 21, 2009 in his 93rd year after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer disease. Frank was predeceased by his loving wife Audrey in 1998, his sisters Margaret Hopper (Cedric) of Calgary, Gwenyth Rattray of Winnipeg and his brother Roy (Ethna) of Calgary. Frank was a great role model in so many ways to his sons Gordon of Winnipeg, Wayne (Elizabeth) of Winnipeg and Bob (Debbie) of Oakville and his five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. In his younger years, his passions were the cottage at Victoria Beach (one of the originals and he loved building), Monday Putters at St. Charles Country Club and outings with his family. A gentle giant, he and Audrey gathered many close friends over the years. He worked his entire career at the family business, Alsip Building Products Services ( Alsip Brick and Tile), which he passed on to his son Wayne when he retired, and in turn, Wayne has passed the company on to his two sons, Jason (Janine) and Brad (Darla). The family would like to thank the staff at Riverview Health Centre for their compassion and care over the years. Our deepest gratitude and love go to Dad's friend and constant companion Ethel Rice. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba, 10 - 120 Donald Street, Winnipeg, Manitoba R3C 4G2 or to a charity of one's choice. A private family memorial service will be held. THOMSON FUNERAL HOME 669 BROADWAY, WINNIPEG, MB R3C 0X4 783-7211 Condolences may be sent to www.thomsonfuneralchapel.com
