GRAZIA CAPORUSSO It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Grazia Caporusso on Monday, September 21, 2009 at the St. Boniface Hospital with her family by her bedside. Grazia was born in Modugnio, Italy on September 8, 1918. Grazia and her husband Eduardo came to Canada in 1967 where they lived in Winnipeg and raised a family of six children, 22 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Grazia was predeceased by her husband Eduardo and son Antonio. She leaves to mourn her passing daughter-in-law Mina Caporusso; daughters, Beatrice Giannico, Angela (John) Lonigro, Rosa (Nunzio) Lao, Anna (Joe) Fulthorpe, Cate (Jerry) Kollesavich and families as well as numerous nieces and nephews including Angelo Vitucci and family of Winnipeg. Grazia started working in Canada at the University of Winnipeg then later at Eaton's downtown. In her retirement she enjoyed baking, knitting, making fresh pasta and visiting with family and friends. Prayers will be said on Thursday, September 24 at 7:30 p.m. at Holy Rosary Parish Church, 510 River Ave. Mass will be Celebrated on Friday, September 25 at 10:00 a.m. also at Holy Rosary Parish Church with Fr. Sam Argenziano the Celebrant. Entombment will follow at the Chapel of Eternal Memories Mausoleum, 1501 Waverley St. Pallbearers will be Eduardo (Dino) Caporusso, Ottavio and Eddy Giannico, Corrado (Fabio) and Daniele Lao, Vito Lonigro, Mathew and Michael Kollesavich. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba, 109 675 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9. Special thanks to the great staff on Unit 6A at the St. Boniface Hospital and the Golden Door Personal Care Home for their care and support.
