Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryOTTO FRANZ JANZEN February 18, 1935 - September 21, 2009 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Otto Janzen, 74, after a courageous struggle with Alzheimer's and Parkinson's Disease. He leaves to mourn his passing his wife of 53 years, Bertha Birdie ; daughters, Karen and Wendy (Willi); son Randy (Sandy); grandchildren, Lindsay and Kyle; Tara and Aaron; and special great-grandson, Justin. He also leaves many family and friends to honour his memory. Otto cherished time with family and friends. He was know for his stories and jokes. He had a love for the outdoors, hunting and fishing, enjoyed his vacations in Mexico and Cuba as well as world travel with his work. A special thank you is extended to the River East Personal Care Home, where Otto spent the last seven months, for the wonderful care they shared. Also to Dr. Julie Lamb, who continued to care about Otto even after his move. In keeping with Otto's wishes, cremation and private interment has taken place. A memorial service celebrating his life will be held on Friday, September 25, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at Green Acres Funeral Home. Donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Society, 10 - 120 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3C 4G2 or to a charity of your choice in Otto's memory.
