LEONARD MARK THOMPSON (MISAABE) November 24, 1958 - September 23, 2009 It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Leonard Mark Thompson on September 23, 2009. Surviving to mourn his passing are two brothers George at Sagkeeng and Frank in Winnipeg, two sisters Isabelle Thompson (Arnold Poirier) of Wabowden, MB and Jean Cunningham of Traverse Bay as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Leonard was predeceased by his parents Leonard (Peechun) and Olive Thompson, grandparents John and Charolotte Thompson, and Ben and Emma Sanderson, also by brothers John and Bill, sisters Margaret Letander and Jennifer Thompson, brothers-in-law Don Cunningham Sr. and Henry Letander. Mark had a unique sense of humour and sharing a good hearty laugh with friends. He enjoyed helping others with his knowledge of herbal remedies. Honorary pallbearers are those who had become his friends over the years, including close cousins; colleagues past and present; Lloyd Letander, Donovan Fontaine, Gamielle Courchene, Devon Cunningham, Arnold Poirier and Adrian Swampy. Service will be held Sunday, September 27 at Thunderbird House, 215 Main St. 7:00 p.m.- midnight. Wake will be Monday, September 28 at Christ Anglican Church, Fort Alexander, MB at 4:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, September 29 at 11:00 a.m. at Christ Anglican Church, officiated by Rev.   • I loved Mark, he gifted me my indian name and shared many teachings that will live through the years because of his life. We have all lost something great and the heavens have taken him home to sit alongside Him.
