RUTH SHORE (MARKOFF)

RUTH SHORE (nee MARKOFF) October 27, 1921 - September 1, 2009 With her family around her, Ruth Shore passed away at age 87 at the Grace Hospital. Ruth was recently predeceased by her husband Ben of 67 years. Ruth is survived by her children Susan and Rick Nordick, Dr. Richard Shore and Andrea; grandchildren, Nikki, Matthew, Savannah, Farren, Julia and Nathan; sister Tybie Croll; sister-in-law Mickey Margulius. Mom was most content being with her family and friends. Mom was a very kind and generous person. She was never materialistic. Mom always worried about the welfare of her family. She loved her husband Ben so very much that for their entire 67 years they could not be apart for more than a few hours. Some of Mom's favourite memories include raising her children, her love for her parents and how much she loved going into Shore's Grill every day as a hostess. Thank you to the 4th floor at the Grace Hospital, all the doctors, nurses and helpers. Also thanks to Mary-Anne, Maurene, Diana, Diane, Stacey and her friend Suzy. As was Mom's wish, a graveside ceremony was held on September 3, 2009 at Sharrey Zedek Cemetery. Now she is with Dad. Pallbearers were Rick Nordick, Matthew Nordick, Norm Addaway, Gary Meltzer, Ted Croll and Tim Nanassy. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice. Love you forever Mom.
