Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryKENNETH BJORNSON March 25, 1966 - September 17, 2009 Peacefully, with his family by his side, Ken Bjornson passed away on September 17, 2009 after a brief struggle with lung cancer. Ken was predeceased by his father Bud (Ken) Bjornson in 1992 and father-in-law Ken Demoline in 1995. Ken will be deeply missed and forever loved by his mother Sylvia (nee Sorensen); his wife Nancy and children Emily and Dante; sister Deborah Grainger (Tom); brother David (Val); niece Jane Marion (Joel and Sophie); nephew Kai; mother-in-law Sandy Knight (Geoff); brothers-in-law, Dan Demoline (Bev); Kelly Demoline (Allison) and Greg Demoline and many, many loving aunts, uncles and cousins. Ken grew up in Pinawa, Manitoba and spent many summers at Luther Village in Ontario with his cousins and friends. He moved to Winnipeg after finishing high school in Pinawa and worked at AECL in Pinawa in Stores Building 408. Ken was a devoted son, husband, and father. His family was the most important thing to him. He loved spending time playing with his children, Emily and Dante. He loved talking for hours with his friends and family, always with a cup of coffee in hand. Ken was always generous and could be counted on to help us all whenever anyone needed a hand with anything. He had a wonderfully dry sense of humour and loved to banter and debate with others. He had integrity, spoke truthfully and acted honestly. He will linger in melody and write poems with the stars. He will run through the heavens with the speed of light, pausing only on the moon to watch over his children at night. And the warmth of his memory will wrap around us, and comfort us, not only, but especially, when we are completely chilled to the bone. A Memorial Service was held Monday, September 21, 2009 at the Pinawa Lutheran Church. Donations in lieu of flowers can be sent to the trust fund for Ken's children, Emily and Dante, at the Sunova Credit Union (753-5200) in Pinawa. Chapel Lawn 885-9715
