WILLIAM (BILLY) MATHEW YORKE Bill left us on September 13, 2009 at the Royal Columbian Hospital in New Westminister, B.C. He was 32. Saddened are his good friend Abby; his children, Mickey and Swayne, his parents, Gerry and Kathy, and his sister Carol; nephews, Jonathon and Tyler, and his niece Jade. Bill will also be profoundly missed by his grandparents, Eleanor and Lenard, Gordon and Gladys, Ray; his aunts and uncles, Allen J. and Helen, Lynn, Jeannie and Nelson, Bill and Betty, Rob and Darlene, Beth and John, Donald and Paige, Bonnie and Roger, Fred, Phil, Bobby, Nadine and Tim, Connie and Dave; and his numerous cousins. Bill was predeceased by his grandmother Peggy and his aunties, Rae-Ellen, Leslie and Kathy. Born and raised in Winnipeg, Bill moved to Vancouver to be near his sister. His family and work kept him there. Cremation has taken place and a celebration of his life was held in Vancouver on September 20, 2009, attended by his many friends. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Humane Society. A graveside service will be held in Winnipeg on Monday, September 28, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at Waverley Memorial Gardens, located at 1501 Waverley St. (corner of Chevrier).
