ANNA HILL February 12, 1918 - September 27, 2009 It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend Anna Hill on September 27, 2009 at the Tuxedo Villa Personal Care Home, at the age of 91 years. Anna was predeceased by her beloved husband Lackie, sister Ruth and parents, Axel and Nannie. Left to cherish Anna's memory are her loving daughters, Lois (Jim), Nancy (Doug); four grandchildren, Scott (Karine), Heather (Greg), Tanya (Steve), Dale (Caitlin), five great-grandchildren, Brayden, Emma, Shelby, Alex, and Matthew; two brothers, Carl (Krys), Axel (Doreen) and several nieces, nephews and friends. She loved her family dearly. Mom was born on February 12, 1918 in Winnipeg, Manitoba to Axel and Nannie Lindquist of Allanwater, Ontario. The family lived there until 1933, at which time they moved to Sprague, Manitoba. This became her lifetime home. She married Lackie in 1943. Mom was very active in the community, her church, the 4H Club and the Women's Institute. She loved to cook, and do hand work, some of which we still enjoy to this day. A celebration of Anna's life will be held on Wednesday, September 30, 2009 in the Wheeler Funeral Chapel, 211 Regent Avenue West at 11:00 a.m., Reverend Cole Grambo officiating. Interment to follow at the Sprague Community Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Anna's name to CancerCare Manitoba or to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
