VALERIE COLLINS After a three year battle with cancer, Valerie Dawn Collins of Steinbach, aged 49, passed away peacefully on September 29, 2009 at the Bethesda Hospital with her husband at her side. Besides her loving husband Barry, she is survived by three daughters, Angie, Felicia and Kaitlin, her mother Ellen Swan of Winnipeg. She was predeceased by her father George. Special thanks to Dr. Reimer and palliative care nurses Anne Plett and Debbie Krahn for their care and concern over Valerie's condition. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held Thursday, October 8, 2009, 2:00 p.m. at Birchwood Funeral Chapel, 150 Penfeld Dr., Steinbach, MB. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to CancerCare Manitoba, Room ON109 675 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9.
