Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryWILLIAM JOHNSTON On September 28, 2009 our father William (Bill) Johnston was reunited with our mother Greta after six years. William was predeceased by his mother Marie, father Thomas; brothers, Herbert, George; sisters, Doris and Elizabeth. He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by his three daughters, Carol (Tom), Debbie (Wayne), Billie (Gerry); grandchildren, Whitney, Devon, Aaron (Catherine), Ashleigh (Phil), Marc and Denis (Gisele); great-grandchildren, Keira, Zoey and Aubrey. He will also be missed by his sister Margaret (Norman); sisters-in-law, Catherine and Sheila; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Our Dad was a great sportsman, starting at a very early age he excelled in golfing, hockey, baseball and curling; activities he participated in for most of his life. He was a man with a million stories. He remembered a golf game he played in 1970's, what clubs he used, on what holes, and his score. He loved telling and hearing a good joke, laughing loud and hard. He made friends easily and kept many friendships over the years. Dad worked at Imperial Optical for forty years where he made many friends. The family would like to thank the staff of St. Norbert Personal Care Home for their care and compassion. A special thanks to Sandy and Mandie. A memorial service will be held on Monday, October 5, 2009 at 12:30 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue with reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Manitoba Heart and Stroke Foundation, Suite 200-6 Donald St., Winnipeg, Mb R3L 0K6. Chapel Lawn 885-9715
