He will be forever missed by son Daniel (Kris); daughter Lori (Cal); his five grandchildren, Caitlyn, Selena, Dayton, Cole and Samantha; brother Harold; sisters Florence and Dorothy and many nieces, nephews, and close friends. Donald was predeceased by his parents, William and Christine, brother Clarence and loving wife Patricia of 33 years. Prior to Don getting polio at age 19, he loved playing ball with the Elmwood Giants. He also spent summers at Patricia and Winnipeg Beaches with family and friends. Don worked as an architectural technician for GBR and Associates for many years, finally retiring in 1993. With his family, Don enjoyed summers camping and fishing at Long Bow Lake, and eventually built his own cottage on the Winnipeg River in Kenora. There he enjoyed watching his children and grandchildren swim, fish, ski and tube behind his boat. Our family would like to thank all the staff on the 5th floor of Seven Oaks Hospital and Dr. Krisjanson for providing care to our Dad and support to our family. In lieu of flowers, we request donations be made to Canadian Cancer Society, 193 Sherbrook St., Winnipeg, MB R3C 3R2.
