JOHN STEVENS 1931 - 2009 After a long hard fight, John's body succumbed to its illness on the evening of September 27, 2009. Left to mourn are his beloved wife Marion and their loving sons, Victor (Laverne), Jim (Lisa), Wes and Harold; grandchildren, Tami (Greg), Frances (Bryan), Dana, Kim (Joe), Lincoln, Zada, Josh, Emma, William and Tyson; great-grandchildren, Marson, McKenzie, Izaiah, Aubrey, Marie, Travis and Elijah. He is survived by his sister Etta and his brother Dori (Gigi) who he cherished. He will be missed by many nieces and nephews. The family would like to extend thanks to the nurses who came to help him at home, and the Home Care workers, Michelle and David. Also, we are grateful for the kindness and compassion shown him at Riverview Hospital 3 East Ward. In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place. There will be no formal service. A private celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
