DORIS LAGODKIN November 15, 1934 - October 1, 2009 Peacefully, with family at her side, Doris passed away on October 1, 2009, at the Riverview Health Centre. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Peter (Theresa), Susan (Tim Lucko), Robert (Dustin Luckwell), grandchildren Kyle and Nicholas (Sammy), and her sister Lieselotte Schmidt. Doris was predeceased by her husband George in 1991 and by her brother Heinz Hartmann. Doris was born in Germany and immigrated to Canada to join George. They were married the same year and made their life's home in Winnipeg. Doris dedicated her life to providing a home for her family. She enjoyed travel, especially day trips with her family and friends. Favourite pastimes also included card games and listening to music. She particularly enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. The family would like to extend their thanks and gratitude to the staff at the Riverview Health Centre for their exceptional care and compassion. A celebration of Doris' life will be held on Wednesday, October 7, 2009, at 1:00 p.m. at Klassen Funeral Home. A private family interment will take place at a later date.
