ALEXANDER KAROL January 28, 1941 - October 1, 2009 Suddenly on October 1, 2009 at the Seven Oaks General Hospital, Alexander Karol, aged 68 years, of Selkirk, MB, passed away. Alexander (Al, Alex) was predeceased by his partner Ethel, his parents Rosalie and John Karol, his brothers Billy, John and George. He is survived by sisters Sylvia Hendry, Kathy Bird (Wayne) of Selkirk MB, Rosalie Stahl (Lyle) of Flin Flon, MB, Irene Johnson of Winnipeg, MB and Geraldine Hall (John) of White Rock, BC, brothers Charles (Phoebe) of Selkirk, MB and Richard (Sharon) of Winnipeg, MB, also surviving are his granddaughter Tammy Jubinville of Winnipeg, MB, his special pal and buddy his niece Wanda Hendry of Winnipeg, MB and many cousins, nieces and nephews. He will be remembered for being a man that really enjoyed being with and around his family. He always looked forward to family gatherings and would try to find a reason for one. Alex was a hard working man who worked at different jobs in Manitoba and Alberta. He enjoyed working with his brother (Charles) until his retirement in 2006 from Alphair Ventilating Systems in Winnipeg, MB. According to Alex's wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held on Wednesday October 7, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Selkirk, MB. A private family interment of ashes will take place in the Little Britain Cemetery. Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk in care of arrangements.
