VICTORIA ELEANOR ZABORNIAK Peacefully on October 2, 2009, Victoria passed away at Bethania Care Home. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Frank, in 1990. Frank will be there to greet her once again. Victoria will be lovingly remembered by her son, Ken Zaborniak of Costa Rica, grand-daughter Tanya James and great-granddaughter Taryn of Calgary; son Randy Zaborniak and wife, Sharon, grandchildren Daniel Zaborniak (wife Amy), great-grandson Gavin, and Heather Zaborniak of Winnipeg; son Lindsay Zaborniak (wife Patty) grandchildren Sarah and Nicholas of Winnipeg; and daughter Kathi Moore (husband Les) of Winnipeg, grandchildren, Kevin, Alison and Jennifer Moore of London, England. Mom was born in Melrose on September 16, 1924. She was 14 when she met and fell in love with Frank and hoped that he wouldn't get married until she grew up. They married in 1943. They spent 47 years together. During that time they did a wonderful job raising four children. When times became easier they bought acreage in Clandeboye, cleared the land themselves and built a cottage. Mom and Dad thoroughly enjoyed the time they spent at Clandeboye and loved to share it with their children and grandchildren, especially Tanya from Calgary who would spend every month of July with them. All the grandchildren loved to go out to Clandeboye where Gramma would make them work first, play later. She was an excellent seamstress, quilter, crafter, painter, gardener and enthusiastic in passing on her skills to anyone willing and there were many. Victoria is survived by her sister, Jean and brother Richard and sister-in-law Lillian as well as nieces, nephews, and the many friends she met along her journey of life. She rests in peace now. God Bless Her. The family would like to thank the dedicated staff of Bethania who cared for her with diligence and respect she loved you all. Services will take place on Friday, October 9, 2009 at St. Michael's Roman Catholic Church, Cook's Creek, Manitoba. Viewing will begin at 1:00 p.m. at the church, service at 1:30 p.m. interment will follow at St. Michael's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Victoria's name to Bethania Personal Care Home, Concordia Avenue Winnipeg MB. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044
