JAMES MOORELAND JENKINS It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father and grandfather James Mooreland Jenkins, age 79 with his family at his side in the Grace Hospital on October 3, 2009 after a valiant struggle with C.O.P.D. Jim will be lovingly remembered by his wife Olive; daughter Lynn (Gary); his sons, Kevin (Jennifer), Gary (Tamara) and grandchildren, Matthew (Liz), Emily, Griffin, Catriona and Cameron. He also leaves to mourn his brother Roy of Winnipeg and Sister Ethel Getz in Kelowna, BC. Jim was born in Russell, MB on July 9, 1930. He was predeceased by his parents, George and Stella, brothers, Lloyd, Tom, Jack and sisters, Margaret and Norma. He was employed by the C.N.R for almost 40 years in the Accounting Department and then Internal Audit Department with moves to Edmonton, Saskatoon, Port Arthur and back to Winnipeg. After his retirement in July 1990, he enjoyed many happy times with good friends at South Interlake Golf Club and the Golf Dome during the winters. He was a member of Crestview United Church and served on the building committee for the 1979 addition as well as trustee for a time. The family would like to thank Dr. Wayne Poon and Dr. J. Richman-Eisentat for kind and efficient care. Thanks also to the Grace Hospital staff and the many Home Care workers for several years of kind and caring service. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at Crestview United Church on Thursday, October 8, 2009 at 1:30 p.m., with Reverend Beth Rutherford officiating and a reception to follow.
