Laird leaves to mourn in his passing sisters Pearl and Doreen (Randy); children Dara, Warner (grandson Darrien), Rayna, Roberta, Kashtin and Wesley; stepchildren Lorna, Lenny, James and Ray, mother of their children, Grace. He was raised by his grandparents in Fisher River Cree Nation. He was a man that loved and lived off of the land, a friend to many and a well respected elder in the community. Wake service will be held Wednesday and Thursday, October 7th and 8th, 2009 at 8:00 p.m. at his residence, Lot 97, Fisher River Cree Nation. Funeral service will be held Friday, October 9, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. at the Steven's United Church in Fisher River. Fisher Funeral Home Inc. In care of arrangements. (204) 372-6271 or 372-6803

My grandpa Gordon was really nice and took care of us. He had his own garden and I would always go for a walk with him and his loving dog Bowser to get all the stuff but after my grandpa Gordon Bowser and all the other animals.
