TROY DAVID BRUCE COX April 5, 1968 - September 30, 2009 In the early evening hours of Wednesday, September 30 our beloved Troy left his earthly world to join his grandparents, infant cousins and all others gone before him in heaven. Troy was born in Selkirk. Shortly after the family moved to Gillam. Troy loved the northern ways of life, fishing, hunting, trapping etc. Being mentally challenged did not deter him from achieving the skills to do these things. Troy loved people and animals and had a gentle caring nature with both. Troy's adult years were spent living in Thompson, M.B.C. Portage la Prairie, Riverton and Gimli. Troy is survived by his loving parents, Ross and Bev, sister Gerri-Lynne (Tim) Macnamara, nephews, Justin and Devin, nieces, Brittany and Sydnie, aunts, uncles and cousins in Winnipeg, Regina, Spokane, Washington, Winkler and his Heima Er Best family in Gimli. Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, October 12 at the Lakeside Church of God, Solvin Road, Gimli, Pastor Abe Harder officiating. In lieu of flowers those wishing may make donations in Troy's memory to Heima Er Best, Box 1949, Gimli, Manitoba R0C 1B0 or a charity of your choice.
